Our April Edition of Moms the Word interview was with our very own Shell Luba (shell), Co-Founder and CMO (Chief Mom Officer) of ConnectingMoms.com.  

For our May edition of Moms the Word, we interviewed Sandy C. (8sandy), who was our first nominated mom interview. Sandy is a Registered Neonatal ICU Nurse and a mother of one.   

For our June edition of Moms the Word, we had the pleasure of interviewing Maryum Ali (Maryum). Maryum "May May" Ali is the eldest of eleven children of boxing legend and Three-Time World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali. She is a non-traditional mother who has legal custody of her two beautiful sisters, ages 15 and 17 years old. She is an activist for Parkinson Disease, an actress, a comedian, a Social Worker, a screenplay & television concept writer, and an accomplished author of I Shook Up the World: The Incredible Life of Muhammad Ali.

For our July edition of Moms the Word, we had the pleasure of interviewing Susan Peterson (SusanP79) as our mom of the month. Susan is a mother of 2 (3 month old, Nathan & 7 year old, Cheyanne), a newlywed of 1 year, and a proud Navy veteran. 

For our August edition of Moms the Word, we had the pleasure of interviewing Tara Paterson (JustForMom) as one of our moms of the month. Tara is a mother of three children, two boys ages 9 and 5, and an 8 month baby girl. Tara set out with the mission of empowering, enriching, and touching the lives of mothers. By creating Just For Mom, a support site for mothers. However, this multi-tasking business women did not stop there, she also created the Moms Choice Awards, Moms in Print, and a series of other Just For online websites.

We had the pleasure of interviewing twin sisters, Janice (JaniceLC) and Susan (SusanLC) for this week's edition of Moms the Word. Janice (on the left) is a mother of a 4-year old son named Jackson and Susan (on the right) is a mother of 14-month old daughter. This dynamic team of twin sisters traded in their professional career to become online mompreneurs. They run three sites online, one of them includes the hit 5 Minutes For Mom.

For August edition of Moms the Word, we had the pleasure of interviewing our first guest celebrity, Sheila Kelly, Founder of Sheila Kelly's S Factor.  

Sheila is not only an actress, writer and producer but she's the founder of an extraordinary movement called S Factor. A passionate mother of two, Sheila built this movement from the ground up, starting in her home office, where she held small classes for friends and fellow actresses. 




 

For September edition of Moms the Word, we had the pleasure of interviewing Brenda Wible (Mostly Sunny) to most of us on ConnectingMoms!  

This mother of two, a 6-year old son and 3-year old daughter, seeks to shed light on her advocacy work to stop sexual abuse. The effects of Brenda’s hard work and dedication to this cause are radiating out into many communities including ConnectingMoms. A survivor of sexual abuse herself, Brenda’s courage shines through the dark clouds of her past. 

For September edition of Moms the Word, we had the pleasure of interviewing Andrea Vincent (abargsley) of SeeMommyRun.com!  

Meet a no-frills mom who is sure to inspire you as you're jogging past that fast-food joint. http://www.seemommyrun.com/ is a site created by Andrea Vincent. Claiming to be an 'amateur athlete' and 'amateur mother,' (we know better), Andrea created this site to help improve the health and well being of mothers everywhere. See Mommy Run allows moms to communicate with each other, seek each other out by location, and make arrangements to run or walk together in-groups. Time restraints, fitness levels, and of course, your dear children, are all factors that can be easily adjusted to fit the individual. With over 6,000 members in 29 states, (did we mention that the site launched less than a year ago?) Andrea Vincent is definitely up to something. Something awesome.  

For September edition of Moms the Word, we had the pleasure of interviewing Anne Collier (AnneCollier) of Net Family News and author of MySpace Unraveled: What it is and how to use it Safely.

Thankfully, ConnectingMoms is a safe, predator-free networking site. We can’t say the same for MySpace, which is why Anne Collier, our Mom of the Week, co-wrote a book to inform and empower parents. MySpace Unraveled: What it is and how to use it Safely, teaches parents how to keep their children from being victimized in the online social-networking craze. Anne is no newbie when it comes to educating parents on online safety—she is also the creator of Net Family News, a digital "community newspaper" that educates parents on kids’ constructive use of technology and the internet. But don’t think Anne’s all work and no play! This mother of two boys, ages 9 and 14, is a fan of quality and edifying social-networking sites—which is why she agreed to sit down and chat with ConnectingMoms.  Interviewed by: Sandy C.

For September edition of Moms the Word, we had the pleasure of interviewing Jennine Rexon (Rextopia) of RexDirectNet and Rextopia an Internet Marketing Company specializing in affiliate and lead generation services. Jennine is also a mother of four (4) children age 7 and younger! This busy mom not only runs her household but runs a successful marketing company!

October Moms the Word interview: Molly Tanuvasa (Tanuvasamama) is always cooking up something! With four children, a 3-year old daughter and a 5, 2-year, and newborn son, her life is bound to heat up! Luckily she has a great husband and supportive family to keep things from burning.
